    1. Consults on optimal plan design, including eligibility requirements that can increase plan participation
    2. Performs compliance testing and advises on complex plan issues
    3. Handles plan administration and IRS reporting
    4. Helps Plan Sponsor manage fiduciary risk and meet ERISA requirements

   401(k) Platform Providers

    1. Provide investment options – single fund family or multi-fund families
    2. Handles recordkeeping
